Because it the assignment for the back side A back. It's automatic, the A back does not release without checking for a backside blitzer.

Do you know that's what we teach or is it just your common sense? Honestly not trying to be difficult... it's likely you know more than I do on this subject.

Cuse, it's taught. When the QB is moving to one side of the formation on a pass play the first check for the backside A back is to check for a blitz. If the LB drop or flows to the motion the A back then releases down field.

It just seems like our guys are poorly coached...we are always missing blocks on O or having someone run the wrong play...and the OL play is just pitiful.

Was afraid that was going to happen, that is Vad's 2nd favorite pass... that out route or comeback route to the outside.

Will be a fight for a bowl game now...we have Syracuse, UVA and Pitt who are the three most likely wins for us. Won't be easy.

Don't want to lose the bowl streak.
