Sounds like a moderately above average reason for 1% of the students that go to Wake...now why in heck is the other 99% paying private school money to attend that place?

You were asking about their speciality. If they have one, it's banking. Wake Forest only has two undergrad colleges - business being one of them. Also, it's a really small school, 4,000 undergrads. Wake Forest is the first major university that doesn't require SAT/ACT/LSAT/GMAT scores on its general application. In fact, it doesn't add much weight to it even if you do submit a score. I have no other explanation. And neither does anyone else.

FWIW, when I was applying to schools, I received very generous offers from similar schools like Vandy, Duke, WashU and Emory but got waitlisted + $0 scholarship from Wake. I would have went to UGA before Wake. Just like you, I don't get the schools appeal
