Buried them early, looked like they were gassed form the start. Rebounding was dominating. Took care of business. Not sure how good they really (they are 0-3 after all), so not sure what this means.

To be truthful, I got bored in the 2nd half and didn't watch much. I figured it was no longer really a game but more of a scrimmage. Not sure you can tell anything from this game.

Except it was good to win so easily.

White and Jacobs are definitely a better set of post players than Sampson and Cox were and Chuck improving his post play and conditioning leaves feeling that they have the potential to compete at high level in conf play. Adam Smith is the wild card. He gets hot for the season he could be a Randolph Childress type player. Hitting shots from every where. This team has chance to save coach's behind. It is a good make up of young and exp players. The UT game is a game we normally lose. I feel the team has leaders which has been lacking from day one. Could be a fun year.

In defense of Green Bay - at Stanford 11/13 7:00 pm, at East Tenn 11/17 6:00 am, at GT 11/19 7:00 pm. Can we have a have a rah rah for ESPN for the 6:00 am game.

We haven't exactly played any incredible teams just yet, but I think this will be the best offensive basketball team we've had in quite some time. We just have a ton of options for scoring that we haven't had in years past. I see a bubble team right now...if we can put a solid half court offense together we could be really dangerous.

I've been impressed with Lammers all year. He's gotten stronger and more comfortable with/around the basketball. A good passer from the post - all around he will be a solid piece and we'll need him when we get into conference play.

I still have a sour taste in my mouth from last year for Q - he has some work to do in my opinion to prove he deserves to be on the floor more.

Tadric does a few things pretty well - shooting from the outside is not one of them. He's good in the open court and when he's able to get to the basket. Had a few more nice dishes inside yesterday - he's an adept passer. As a young(er) guy, I think he's still trying to find his role. Hopefully he'll get there.

Was at the game, and overall a good effort. I wouldn't read too much into the final score - Green Bay is torched from an energy standpoint right now. They are better than they showed last night. But I think this is more along the lines of what we should expect from Adam Smith. I like what Gregory did towards the end of the game, trying different combinations on the floor and working on different defenses. That's what good teams do - using games where they are in control to work on things they may not have tried or aren't so great at.

Not sure yet about Stanford...they just got drilled at home by SMU (70-85). I get the travel issue and do think that explained why they were so lackadaisical at the start...

Pitiful crowd last night but sort of expected given where the program has been,

Good shooting night - especially in the first half. I was not concerned about Smith's 1-8 against TN because he has proven over multiple years he can hit the 3 at a legit clip. He has one of the quickest releases i've seen.

The PG's did an excellent job last night and really stayed with Love. Josh looks like he should be getting 25-26 mpg right now but CBG seems to be using his depth pretty wisely. Heath's mid range shot looks nice and can be a good weapon. The 2 PG's really worked hard on Love.
Lammers is coming along nicely though he still needs to add lower body strength.

The addition of Jacobs and Smith has really helped MGH in the early going imo. Hunt is able to play more to his strengths and also pick his spots more rather than feeling like he has to look to score all the time. He's very good going to the basket and has an excellent corner 3 shot when he sets his feet. He's getting a little more space because teams have to account for Smith and Jacobs.

I'd be willing to bet MGH still ends up with the ball in his hands a fair bit late in games. He handles the ball pretty well and you could give him a triple option of driving and taking a shot or passing out to Smith or in to Jacobs depending upon how the defense reacts. That's quite different from last season since you knew he was basically going to take the shot because we didn't have a perimeter option you could count on and neither Cox not Mitchell really had the hands to be counted on in that end of game situation.

Totally agree about Lammers..He has played quite well on both ends. He has nice touch for a big guy and is a sneaky good athlete. I like what I see, but he has got to it against better competition. You're right though, he will be a solid piece as he continues to progress.

I think that you right on the money regarding Smith and Tadric as well. Adam will get plenty of open looks with Nick and Chuck terrorizing the paint. Can he keep knocking them down at a high rate. Thing that hasn't been mentioned is his ability to set up teammates. He has 12 assist against 1 turnover through three games.

The difference in this season and last season is that last season the guys were afraid to shoot, either from coaching or lack of confidence after missing a few. Often you would watch the game and be yelling someone just shoot it. This season we have a variety of scoring options and everyone is buying into it, having more confidence, therefore more shooting. It's really nice to see and I hope it continues. We have one of the best front lines I've seen here in quite a while and that's driving the scoring.
