Good article. Written more from the view of college athletics in the non- pro money sports. (Not football or basketball where colleges are the de facto farm leagues.) Good overall discussion of the likelihood, value and commitment of those scholarships.
If you get a scholarship, almost all you will do is the sport and study - so you had better be passionate about the sport. Makes me glad that so many academic scholarships are out there.
