+1 "Bottom line: the school cares more about its academic standing then its football winning percentage, so long as that doesn't fall right off the cliff." This is exactly what Peterson and the provost have basically said to me. And while I agree with the concept, they are far too doctrinaire and rigid in doing what can be done with changes like not requiring requiring calculus or labs for History, Sports and Technology.
