^disagree....Jersey and pants are the same shade. Helmet was the same shade. The apparent differences in shade have more to do with the angle of the sun reflecting on the player and the difference in material between helmet and uni.

They may have the same palette number (i.e. in the jar), but they're not the same color. I agree the different substrate affects the uptake of the pigment and the texture of the coloration affects the way it reflects visible light, but in the end, they're not the same color. The combination of light wave lengths hitting your eye is not the same between the helmets and jerseys or pants. I remember seeing these unis up close and thinking that the tops and bottoms don't match.

They need to adjust the coloration of the pigment to match after application, not before.
