The Yellow Jackets and Eagles have been battling on the diamond since 1947 and Tech holds a 94-31 lead in the all-time series and is 41-15 versus GSU in Statesboro. Tech has won seven of the last 10 meetings, with the team's splitting last season's home-and-home -- GSU won, 4-3, at J.I. Clements Stadium and Tech won, 13-2, in Atlanta.

Looks like Ben S has moved up to the #4 starters spot, at least for now. Will be interesting to see how he does. Did well against St John's.

JMHO, because it's early they should bring him back slowly as a relieve pitcher or starting in the midweek spot to build his arm strength backup. Bottom line, they need to work him in somewhere.

Small ball is back!!! GT 1-0 after 2. GT batter hit, sac to advance to second, strike out, single and then "sac" bunt up third line to score and beat out the throw. Ballsy. Then pop out.

Point is, one hit two sacs and one run.

Ben S doing ok, faced 6 hitter through 2 - one hit later offset by a double play.

Update: In third Southern is already going to bullpen. Kind of strange at 1-0 with only one GT player on (walk).

Strange inning, but we're down 1-3. Bad luck of hitting pitcher to get hits, but that's the way it is. Kel Johnson isn't superman.

This would be a big win if we can hold on since Southern is generally ranked above us in polls this year. The come back would help the psyche a lot too ...... 6 more outs.
