Also pretty weird for dudes here to be dunking on a young professional working probably 70 hour weeks for like $50k/yr. The coaches making 6 and 7 figures are fair game for criticism.This is too mature for the internet lol

Agreed. I thought morpheus did solid work, but saying that anything was halfway decent in the CGC era is sacrilege now.Also pretty weird for dudes here to be dunking on a young professional working probably 70 hour weeks for like $50k/yr. Amen to that.One interesting tidbit I picked up from listening to an interview with a former player who’s close to the program was that Key is looking at getting a new special teams coordinator.
We didn’t have one at all last season right?One interesting tidbit I picked up from listening to an interview with a former player who’s close to the program was that Key is looking at getting a new special teams coordinator.
Al Ciraldo and Kim King, 1985:
Interesting. Here’s another link that just cropped up on Jake Thornton;Thornton’s grandfather, Billy Shaw, played guard for the Buffalo Bills and is a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame (Class of 1999). Shaw also starred at Georgia Tech prior to embarking on his pro career.
Sounds pretty definite at Ole Miss. Then again, Willie was coming to Tech......Interesting. Here’s another link that just cropped up on Jake Thornton;
Jake Thornton tabbed as Auburn's next offensive line coach
Ole Miss offensive line coach Jake Thornton will be Auburn's next offensive line coach under Hugh Freeze, Auburn Live has learned.www.on3.com
Now I know how KS feels.Doesn’t seem to be a very good source. The same person also is announcing that Thornton is going to Auburn.

Charles Kelley. To Colorado as DCSounds pretty definite at Ole Miss. Then again, Willie was coming to Tech......
What a good get. Still sad GT was too cheap to retain him.Charles Kelley. To Colorado as DC
Ironically, it wasn’t that. He was the “Interim DC” and we cut him loose because we wanted someone with experienceWhat a good get. Still sad GT was too cheap to retain him.
I’ll have to go back. From what I remember, CPJ wanted to keep him and even offered him, but FSU paid him more to be co-DC. I could be remembering incorrectly but that in my recollection.Ironically, it wasn’t that. He was the “Interim DC” and we cut him loose because we wanted someone with experience
If I remember correctly, it was a timing issue. He did interview but got the offer from FSU before he was offered by Tech and went to be a position coach for more money than we were going to pay the DC. He left before the offer was made. That's my recollection off the top of my head.I’ll have to go back. From what I remember, CPJ wanted to keep him and even offered him, but FSU paid him more to be co-DC. Quick edit: it looks like one poster back in 2014 was saying Kelly was interviewed and did not get the job. Maybe I am thinking of something else. Regardless, I wish we had kept him instead of the direction we went.
