I hope I am wrong here. I feel as if these are two teams heading in different directions. VT has lost games by small margins to several decent teams while GT is banged up and travelling to Blacksburg. I feel as if our team plateaued at the UNC game and our season is on the decline, part of this is due to schedule/injuries but something just feels off. The reason we won at UNC is TFG and Jamal Haynes. Jamal Haynes is now banged up and TFG will not be at this game, so we don't have that going for us. Whether it is the special teams miscues, lack of tackling, inconsistency when we have the ball, weird in-game decisions, etc.

VT 34 - GT 17

Zack has the first to second game big improvement that usually happens at the beginning of the season.
Special teams decides to not be so "special"
Defense keeps making gradual improvement and we get 4+ stops (This time they actually stick because no successful fake punts)
GT wins by 10
34-24

Tech vs Tech
Brent vs Brent

Who you got? Poll included.
I took Virginia Tech because I don't believe Georgia Tech is a very good team. Hokies by a touchdown or so. Not that I think they are all that great. I just watched Rutgers and Virginia Tech game from earlier this year. The Hokies big quarterback stepped on one of his linemen's feet dropping back into the end zone and went down without being touched by a Rutgers player for a safety. On the other hand, the Hokies were very competitive against Miami. Two ACC also rans that are hoping to win enough for a crummy bowl invitation. IIWII

Haven’t watched the Chokies play, so just looking at their scores …… have seen us play plenty and there’s not a whole lot that makes me think we can go into Blacksburg and win. I feel okay about starting Pyron, if that’s the case, it’s everywhere else that worries me. Chokies, 31-21. Hope I’m wrong.

I fear we will have another tough day. Pyron is solid, but the lack of the option QB game weakens the rest of our running attack, which is very RPO oriented.

I see the Turkeys winning this by about 34-28.

When I see the fundamentals getting worse game to game as they have done the last 2 games I don't know what to think. Coaches decisions, constant mental mistakes, tackling etc., etc ........... ????????????

Vt #52 DE is having a super season - 19 solo tackles and 11 sacks.

If we have no plan to help the OT with blocking #52, i want my winning pick back.

EVEN If we win by gutting it out, it is an inflection win.

Pyron plays lights out Tobias Oliver style.
If Zach plays like TO did in that game, we win. One of my favorite GT QB performances of last 50+ years. Down the be line “option” ( in name only since TO never pitched it..) Turned it upfield at TE and went north-south for 6-7 yds per carry. OTs and TEs dominated DTs and LBs… and our db’s actually made some tackles back in the day!

Was that when Tquon Marshall was insured ?
New Qb. COACH changes the offense blocking and we run student bod right.

Tech ol and dl dominateTech.
Tech Qb is a tougher runner than Tech qb.
Tech coach averages out Tech coach.
Techs get zero fg
Ga Tech wins big.
35 - 7

Gt ol ok on run good on pass pro and Gt DL dominate Vt OL.
Gt and Vt both tough in short yardage.
Gt coach plays it safe and Vt didn't do a a miami (With 2 .5 minute we almost had punt return for td with 1 point extra point , an onside kick recover , a long td pass at buzzer, 2 point extra point score. We had them if they would do) stupid.

Well crud! I got 2 of three right. But missed by far the most important one. I love Zack, but he sure seemed to have a really bad game (QBR of 24.1)
Our defense got them to punt 10 Times.
