Georgia running back Trevor Etienne might be sidelined for a couple of more weeks with a rib injury, but the No. 10 Bulldogs' thin backfield could be getting a little deeper before a potential CFP appearance.

Bulldogs coach Kirby Smart told reporters Monday that tailbacks Branson Robinson and Roderick Robinson II are ramping up their reps in practice and could be close to returning.
"Branson and Rod have both looked good in the last week in terms of picking up their pace, running, cutting," Smart said. "We're going to progress them today. They're going to do more today than they have. I guess y'all saw them run Saturday. They did more yesterday. We're day by day with those guys, but there's a possibility so we're excited about them getting back to work."

I agree with @stinger78. I think his style of interaction with the press is great for the press, but it sucks for those watching the press conference. He's kind of douchie and snarky. If it's not on YouTube, then it's fine, but he's gotta know this is being watched by everyone.

Yea, but we played on Thursday, not Saturday, so today was really normally Saturday, but since we're playing on Friday, today should be Sunday as far as they're concerned.

Kirby is really complimentary of our program in this interview. (Also took a shot across Key's bow with the hate comment). I'm not sure what to make of this. Is he normally complimentary of his opponents/has he been this level headed in the past?
Yes, Kirby is typically full of praise for his opponents in pre-game media like this. Very similar to how Saban was. The emotional comment was weird though, Kirby certainly is one of the more passionate in-game and post-game coaches in college football.

I agree…
I think it was mostly him dodging a “sound bite” moment.
I think the reporter wanted some words on Kirby’s hatred for the good guys and he did his best to side step it.

Yeah, that’s what I got out of it.

I can’t lie, as much as I like that Key hates them as much as the fans, that comment made me wince a little, simply because it may be used against us. FWIW, Key said those things at an alumni event in the offseason which is a little different than going on a rant about hating a team in a press conference after practice, but still. Better not to say things that can put egg on your face and/or serve as motivation material for the other guys.
