Based on stats, I think our run game should win us this game. I think a senior night night game atmosphere keeps the team motivated and playing hard.

NC State isn't a bad team, but I don't see us looking past this one. I'm expecting a game a bit like the Duke game. Maybe higher scoring on our part if Philo lands a few key deep passes.

We're being very deliberate of trying to play a grind it out style this year by holding the ball and limiting posessions. I see no reason that will change this week. Defense has been improving almost every week. Senior night should help as well. GT wins 27-17.

If we play D like we did against Miami these guys won’t get to 20 and we should be able to handle them. But we’ve honestly only done that a couple times. Let’s see if we can keep it up.

Tempted to pick the Pack in an upset. It could happen but a lot depends upon the physical condition of the team following a very tough Miami game. After watching a couple of Wolfpack games, I just don't think that they are a very good team. Their preseason expectations notwithstanding. They strike me as erratic, kind of quirky with a 6'6'' quarterback who looks like Tarzan plays like Jane at times. He can zip it for sure and has very good receivers. They may have put it all on the line against Duke and came up short. How can a team lose with advantages in rushing yards, passing yards, TOP, and hold Duke to some ridiculous third down conversion rate something like 0 for 9 and lose that game? Coach Doerun looked like he was about to tear what little hair he had left out. I took Tech by a shaky TD or so margin.

I think it will be tough for NC state to prepare for our offense. We don't even know what were going to have out there yet. But they are trying to right the ship and we will win a close on at home on a Thursday night.

Side note we have lost every Thursday game I have been to.

I am not making the trip this week due to work.

I can’t tell if you’re under estimating tech, or super overestimating NC State. Other than them having a good coach I’m not sure what you’re seeing that says state is anything but a below average team. Could we lose this game? Sure. But that because we will have not shown up. I believe you were trying to blow the same smoke for dook

If im being honest i think Doeren will have them focused on beating UNC over us. I don't think he doesn't prepare for us but a UNC win is much bigger for them. So i take us to beat them this week then them to play out of their minds next week against UNC.

I think he had them focused on beating Duke...but then it seems Manny had the Blue Devils similarly focused on beating State. Someone was out of focus so to speak.
