The narrative during college football’s regular season was relatively straight forward. The SEC West was college football’s best and deepest division, while the ACC Coastal was one of the worst.

When the champions of the ACC Coastal met one of the top teams in the SEC West for the 80th edition of the Capital One Orange Bowl, the SEC West was left in the dust.

Seems there are a lot of CFB fans who are sick and tired of ESPN fawning over the SEC. Makes sense since there are far more non-SEC fans than SEC fans out there.

Before the bowls, the SEC had a power ranking of .697; PAC 10 .667 and ACC .634. http://www.jhowell.net/cf/cf2014.htm

It'll be interesting to see the changes when the playing is done .... a lot depends on the remaining games, especially Alabama.

Go Ohio State.
