GA Tech # 10 in USA Today's "Re-Rankings"

Ohio State remains atop the USA TODAY Sports 1-128 Re-rank, but the Buckeyes are being challenged from a rival within their own conference. GA Tech moved up 7 spots to number 10, HIGHER than FSU, UGA, Clemson, and Notre Dame.

Sagarin ratings won't normalize for another 3 or 4 weeks probably. Nice to be up there, but nicer to be up there around Thanksgiving.

At the end of last year, we were ranked #12 in the Sagarin Ratings, behind two teams (UGA and Mississippi State) we beat in non-home games. I don't take his rankings seriously. Further, it seems impossible to me to have a computer poll done before the season, because there's no data. Somehow, his - and ESPN's - both cranked out rankings. Funny how that works.

Sagarin ratings are just that rating based on a computer model. Not 100% accurate but does give a guide to a teams overall performance. I'll feel more comfortable with that rating as the season progresses. The rating doesn't guarantee game out come past or future.
