I like it. They're FBS now, so definitely one of the better non-P5 matchups for us in terms of interest. I don't expect Willie Fritz to be there when that game rolls around.

I am okay with it, so long as it is at home. I think we would have easily won this year if we didn't get up so big so early and then take our foot off the gas.

Yes. However, this is an obvious business decision. It's all about the $$$ and we know Southern fans will fill the stadium.

Ellison, Brieda and Ramsby will all be playing in that game. Ugh.

I think its important to know that Southern won their conference and will probably keep winning their conference every year. They will get better every year. Although I don't like what week it is on, I will at least go in saying that I think there is something to gain from playing them

Southern is stronger than quite a few power 5 teams. This will be a very hard game with little reward and no respect to gain.

Not good for Tech making it into the CFP.

I actually like this. Yes Tech will have to ply well but I'd rather see this game than some others I've been to.

If this is a tough game in 2 years then recruiting has not improved like everyone thinks. I don't care what type of tradition Southern has. With all the youth we have on this team and what the roster should look like in 2 years this game should look like the 1st half of this year's game every time Tech and Southern plays, dominant on offense with the occasional big play or good drive or 2 by Southern. As great as they played against Tech this year that type of performance should be an exception to the rule. It should look like the 52-19 beating that Navy put on them this year most years
