What year was it that we were "all the way turnt up"?
Taquon completed two the year before, so that means Paul's offense completed two passes in two years and won both games against VT.I went up to Blacksburg in 2018 with low expectations since Marshall was out and Tobias Oliver was getting his first start. Him and Jordan Mason was a two headed monster that just couldn't be stopped that day.
"The Yellow Jackets (4-4, 2/3 ACC), playing without starter TaQuon Marshall, finished with 465 yards -- all on the ground. Jordan Mason also scored three times as Georgia Tech won its third straight against the Hokies and third straight in Lane Stadium -- without completing a pass."

I'd be perfectly happy with us doing the same this year. Pyron at 100 yards, haynes at 100 yards rutherford and singleton with 50-60 each on jets and boyd with a 30 yard touchdown off a pitch. with alexander addign another 60 on 7 carries and a TD.Taquon completed two the year before, so that means Paul's offense completed two passes in two years and won both games against VT.
Dude, you realize that’s over 400 yards on the ground? Cool if they can do it, though!I'd be perfectly happy with us doing the same this year. I did in fact realize that.Dude, you realize that’s over 400 yards on the ground? Cool if they can do it, though!
Then I salute your optimism!I did in fact realize that.
My wife and I were in the crowd.
It was the final UGA loss that did him in. That game didn’t help, though
We need more games that look like this
Same here, best game for me next to winning in 2011 vs Clemson2009. I was a freshman and the field rush was awesome
2009, baby! What year was it that we were "all the way turnt up"?
Saw you tear the goal post down.2009. I was a freshman and the field rush was awesome

Strangely enough, my favorite memory of this rivalry was watching the 2014 game on TV from campus. Up to that point, all I had experienced in the rivalry was Frank Beamer and Bud Foster finding new and ridiculous ways to beat CPJ in heartbreaking fashion. After close wins over Tulane and Georgia Southern, I felt that this team would not be as good as they were the year before. Watching our team play with poise and find ways to overcome adversity to pull off the victory showed me that I was mistaken and that this team was different. Finally managing to defeat the Hokies felt euphoric. The sky looked bluer; the grass looked greener; the birdsong on 8th street sounded sweeter. That was the one year that I didn’t do band, and that game was one of the reasons I convinced my dad to come with me to Athens for COFH, which has become one of my favorite memories with him.
It would be another 2 years before I got to see a win over the Hokies in person when I got to watch Matthew Jordan lead us to victory in my only visit to Lane Stadium to date.
I had forgotten about one other GT/VT game I saw, a 26-17 win for the Hokies in 2021. All I remember was that it seemed a sorry effort and a poorly coached game. Who else was in attendance that day? The crowd was restless. Insipid, vapid performance under TFG. My least favorite GT-VT memory. The one game I saw in person was a 28-22 win over #17 VPI in 2017 at Grant Field, notable for Taquon's passing stat that day: 2-8 for 140 yards and two touchdowns. How often do you see that - two passes completed all day, for two long TDs? Ajani Kerr swatted away the Hokies last gasp pass into the end zone on the last play of the game to preserve the win.
Been done B4I did in fact realize that.
