Coming off the last two seasons of CDM into the CBC era, one couldn't help but think that we would be a basketball power for a long time. Too bad the 'distraction' with USCe came up, along with losing top assistants to other programs.

That was about the same time guys started leaving after first 3 years, then 2 years and finally 1 year or straight to the NBA. CBC's system was based on not recruiting over his star players. His system was unworkable once players didn't stay for 4 years. The current college basketball environment must drive him nuts! Those were the best days for GT BB for sure!
