How’s the final week of practice been coming along?

KF: It’s been going well. Usually during spring practice you see guys toward the end kind of slacking off and kind of losing energy, but it’s exciting to look around and see the guys all having energy, enthusiasm and just excited about being on the field. It was kind of disappointing for us to not go to a bowl game last year, and now that we have the opportunity to get back on the field to make ourselves better, we’re really holding on to it and going strong and trying to be the best Georgia Tech we can be.

Your team recently emerged with a new slogan: “Put In.” How’d that come about?

KF: We had an idea of just making sure guys got together and it was all about making sure our team’s close. We came up with a logo and called it "Put In" because we didn’t put everything on the field last year. We left so many opportunities, missed out on so many opportunities, but this year we’re gonna put in our time, we’re gonna put in effort, we’re gonna put in anything we can do to make sure people are eligible, make sure that people are doing well academically and athletically. We’re just putting in and investing into each other our time and our energy so we can be the best Georgia Tech team we can be.
