DirecTV is the latest distributor that has decided to carry ACC Network at its Aug. 22 launch... ACC Network previously signed launch deals with Altice, Verizon and Hulu TV. ESPN will depend on Hulu's and DirecTV’s national footprints as they negotiate with other distributors, including Comcast, Charter, Dish Network and AT&T U-Verse.

ESPN is launching an ad campaign around the net today to coincide with the start of the ACC men’s basketball tournament. The campaign is called “We Do This,” and shows an inside look at each of the conference’s schools and their traditions. The spots will run across ESPN platforms and on local channels in ACC markets. ACC schools will be able to customize the spots...

No official word yet on how much money the new channel will generate. One thing's for sure: whatever the per subscriber rate ends up being, it will be multiplied by a very big number!

Come on and add PSVue. They already carry Big 10+2, SEC, and (I believe) Longhorn networks...just need to add this last one and I’m good.
As of today though ACC Network has announced that DIRECTV, Google Fiber, Hulu Live TV, Layer3 TV, Optimum, PlayStation Vue, Suddenlink, and Verizon Fios will carry the ACC Network. (Currently, only DIRECTV is listed not DIRECTV NOW.)

I have DirectTV, but not package that contains SEC Network. Bet I'll have to upgrade package. Only time I watch SEC network is when the Tech vs UGA game is on it.

I've been using Sling plus Sports Extra to get SEC and ACC Extra. If you are using DirectTV as simply Streaming, how much is it, and how much extra for the SEC etc?

I have DirectTv choice package over dish and it $45 monthly , has all channels I need, espn, 2, news, espnU, fS1,Fs2, Fox sports south & southeast. But not SEC network.

I cut cord once for PlayStation Vue which had everything but the channel guide was never correct so it was hard to record games in advance.

One more tidbit to squeeze out of the ESPN/ACCN Frequently-asked questions (FAQ)...

ACC NETWORK AVAILABILITY
"ESPN is working hard to ensure that ACCN will be broadly available via pay TV video providers across the country."

Carriage agreements are already in place with the following [national] providers:
  • DIRECTV
  • Google Fiber
  • Hulu Live TV
  • Layer3 TV
  • Optimum (aka Altice)
  • PlayStation Vue
  • Suddenlink
  • Verizon Fios
This list alone virtually guarantees that anyone who wants the ACCN can get it if he is willing to switch carriers...

...but you may not have to if you live somewhere served by one of these small, local providers...

Agreements are also in place with the following [local] providers:
  • Adaptive Media
  • Amarillo Wireless
  • Americas Center Corporation
  • Ashland Home Net
  • BEK Communications Cooperative
  • Brookings Municipal Utilities
  • Cable Systems of Nevada
  • Camellia Communications
  • Central Arkansas Telephone Co-op
  • Cherokee Telephone
  • Clarksville Department of Energy
  • Colorado Community Fiber
  • CTI Fiber
  • Delcambre Telephone
  • ESCO Technologies
  • Farmers Telecommunications Cooperative (AL)
  • Glandorf Telephone
  • GMCC
  • Gold Coast Broadband
  • Gorham Communications
  • Grafton Technologies
  • Hardy Telephone
  • HCI
  • Highland Communication Services
  • Highlands Cable Group
  • KiwiSat
  • Locks Cable
  • Madison Telephone
  • Mahaska Communication Group
  • Mid-Plains Communications
  • Naicom
  • NEMR Telecom
  • NetCom TV
  • New Lisbon
  • Olin Telephone Company
  • OpenBand
  • Peoples Services
  • Plateau Telecommunications
  • PTC Communications
  • RaceTV
  • Randolph
  • RTC Communications
  • Rural Burleigh Cable
  • Salsgiver Communications
  • Siren Communications
  • Southern Fibernet
  • Southern Montana Telephone
  • Spruce Knobs Seneca Rocks Telephone
  • SPTC Telcom
  • Sunset Digital Communications
  • Ting Fiber
  • Topsham Communications
  • Trenton Telephone Company
  • Tri County Telephone
  • United Communications
  • Vaughnsville Telephone Co
  • West Carolina Communications
  • WestPAnet
  • Wheat State Technologies
  • Whidbey Telecom
  • Yadkin Telecom
  • Yucca Telecom

BOTTOM LINE: There are still some "big fish to fry", but this is already a fairly impressive list - and there are still 5 months to go before launch!
