Eric, if you or the patient wife are reading this, I have one bit of advice other than not coming back until closer to the football season.

Keep her awake in the afternoon by playing with her incessantly, don't let her nap for that whole day. She will sleep all night and it turns the clock around so you both can sleep at night, rather than shifts and misery.
