Now that we have a better idea of the coordinators and potential scheme we will run on Offense, I put together a potential depth chart. There will be some unforeseen changes in positions since CGC likes to move the best players around the field. I also think we could see some unique formations given our roster and potentially a decent amount of wildcat with Oliver at QB. I also threw a bunch of people in the Slot position because I think we might use several variations of that position with traditional slot receivers and slot running backs for jet sweeps.

OFFENSE
QB: Johnson, Graham, Yates, Oliver (wildcat)
HB: Benson, Mason, Amerson, Malloy
FB: Howard
TE: Davis, Deveney
RT: Lee, Defoor, S. Morgan
LT: Quinney, Southers, Clark
RG: Hansen, B. Morgan
LG: Braun, Minihan
C: Cooper, ?
WR: Camp, Dolphus
WR: Carter, Showell
Slot: A. Brown (faster than the other A. Brown), Sanders, Hawks-Anderson, Norris, Cottrell, Oliver, Jarrett, Whatley

DEFENSE:
SDE: Owens, Dawson
WDE: Dingle, Domineck, Johns
NT: Adams, Martin, Camp
DT: Glanton, Chimedza, Griffin
SAM: C. Thomas, Campbell, Henderson
MIKE: BJS, Jackson
WILL: K. Oliver, Curry
CB: Swilling, King, Askew
CB: Walton, Kerr
FS: Thomas, Bonds
SS: Carpenter, Cole

Bruce Jordan Swilling - Possibly starting HB by mid to end of 2019 season....

Also Juanyeh Thomas should be moved to WR imo.

So you now create a hole at FS. Carpenter & Thomas will be the best Safety duo for the next 2-3 yrs

SLOTS
Seems like Cottrell who is fast and can block well should get priority .

I like garret on jet sweep - a play we should frequently run

Hopefully we spend lots of practice time on special teams on FUNDAMENTALS

Move one of qb to wr?

Malloy is so underrated right now. He will be the years biggest positive surprise.

I was just perusing GC's twitter feed and noticed something posted yesterday that caught my eye. According to this here, there won't be a standard depth chart, but players listed as either "ATL" ("Above The Line", ie playing) or not. Interesting...

I think this ATL idea will resonate with players. I have always wanted GT to use Atlanta as a stronger recruiting tool.

I will say it’s kind of funny that we’re replacing a coach who was said to be “gimmicky” with one who actually is gimmicky. If it works though, I’m all for it.

I like the idea of K. Oliver at LB; he may very well end up growing enough to make that work and we have way enough DBs. This is also why I think Carpenter will move to LB and C. Thomas will stay there. We need speed at that position in the worst way.

I think Cottrell will end up as an RB. He runs hard, he blocks well, and he's fast as the dickens. No need to waste that at slot.

I also wouldn't be surprised to see Martin at DE. He has always reminded me of Gathers, though he hasn't shown it on the field yet.

I like Oliver at a LB/S hybrid type position...he's got good size and plenty of athleticism to both cover guys on routes and step up in run support. I really think we need to have Tariq, Kaleb, Juanyeh, and Charlie Thomas on the field together. That's a dynamite core of a backfield right there. Paired up with Kerr and Swilling at corners, and BJS at MLB and you have a legit versatile defensive backfield that can handle just about any formation.
