I would hope our staff already did this leading into last week. If not then they did a bad job of anticipating where we were going to struggle. My biggest concern going into the game was our inability to get break away runs out of the QB position, and I think that was the problem once we got past the initial drives. So if they missed it then shame on them, but by all means please fix it now. That said, I doubt I picked up on something so basic that the staff wasn’t already aware of.
I don’t think the coaches anticipated getting limited to 64 yards on the ground. Pyron (in his own) wasn’t why we lost. The two picks did hurt.

I don’t think a healthy King would have had a different outcome.

If there is something for the offensive coaches to look at, it’s
  1. How can we stop the other team from shutting down our run game
  2. What do we do if they do shut down the run game
That was the unanswered question after Syracuse (and probably into last season)

A dose of realism is often useful. Miami is #1 in Total Offense per game at 577 yards/game. Miami is #2 in scoring offense per game at 48.7 points/game. The fewest points they have scored in any game is 38 at VT.

GT has scored more than 38 twice. VMI and UNC. You do the math. We give up 21.9 ppg. Our defense will need its best game by far and our offense will need to score at least 6 TDs. That’s a big ask.
Miami’s FEI Offense in 5th in the nation. GT’s in 188th. That’s NOT a huge gap.

Miami’s Defensive FEI is #46 compared to GT at #81. That IS a big gap.

We’ll certainly be underdogs, but don’t assume we’ll be buried.

I think this comment is spot on!

IF our coaches can figure out some way to counter the treands we have seen as stated above, we can win this game (as well as Miami, for that matter).

My concern is our defensive weaknesses are pressuring the opposing QB and covering receivers while the opposing QB has time in the pocket. That is a very bad place for us to be vs Miami as their strength on offense is an elite passing game. Ward is very elusive as well. Turnovers are our best chance to slow down Miami's offense.

Keep in mind from a raw number standpoint GT is closer to Rutgers at #60 than it is to Miami at #5 offensively.
There are some pretty big gaps in those metrics.
