Man, we've had high expectations for for Simmons for a while now. He definitely took a big step last year. I think he's going to have a monster senior season.

The 2017 Defensive ends may be the best group we've had under CPJ...It'll go a legit 2 deep. Simmons, Frenchie, Jordan Woods will come off his redshirt, Keshun Freeman, Desmond Branch (if he doesn't go inside). Might be one of the most competitive positions to get on the field.

I hope he continues to improve, but notice that none of those highlights showed him holding at the point of attack and defeating the block or stacking up the hole. He's good but hasn't been a complete player yet.

Yes, but who on our D line has been a complete player? He was making some of the biggest plays on our D line.

Good point. I guess i was just responding to the comments about why he wasn't starting. I don't think it's obvious that he is better than others. Hopefully he will show us all next year.

You have a good point. You could make a highlight reel of just about anybody over the course of a season if they play enough snaps.
