A TE is valuable in short yardage situations and on the goal line. They also need to be good blockers. I wouldn't want an offense based on that position. We certainly have not used that position as much this year as I expected with CL as OC. Must be a reason---ummmm.
NFL TEs come in two types. Good blockers or good receivers. Waller is the latter. Basically a receiving TE who is occasionally asked to block (get in a defender's way). A number of good blackers but no one knows them as that's all they do. Then there is the Unicorn Travis Kelce. Great at both.

Weird take since waller's blocking was often talked about as being a skill he didn't need to develop much.
