Does anyone know if all of the former coaching staff got hired somewhere?

Specialist in a narrow field often take a while to get another job. Whoses hiring position coaches that have run our offense? Also our position coaches were low paid yet fairly old. Not rising young stars.

Imo, the sudden timing of the retirement hurt the staff's chances for a smooth transition. Not sure that coach did or could do much to help.

Not really sure it was sudden. CPJ announced he was retiring less than a week after the last game of the season. I'd say there was plenty of time for his assistants to find other jobs.

Is it likely we had a good number of our staff that were also ready to retire??? Also some were pretty senior for their positions.

If you're a good recruiter jobs come much easier. Seems like CPJ said GT recruits itself or something to that nature which said volumes to me at the time. A lot of power 5 HC don't hire assts unless they are good recruiters. Saban, Jimbo Fisher are 2 that come to mind.

Seriously, this needs to happen. For the good of football and to watch defensive coordinators commit Seppuku on the 50 yard line at halftime (I'm kidding about the last part). Also, I would pay money to subscribe to the Mike Leach and CPJ weekly podcast.

I'm glad we didnt retain any of them. I love the new staff and wouldnt trade a single one of them. The previous staff was a lame, low energy group. All the new things we are doing just shows how lazy and uninterested the other staff was.

I agree with most but I did think CAM was a hard worker and the best recruiter we had. Not sure about his coaching and I'm happy with this staff.
