Way to go jeff. They just announced it at the Sugar Bowl. I was the only one in the dome to stand and cheer.
I didn't know, but it's nice to see happen.
It's about damned time. Anybody remember the infamous Pitt/Bobby Grier Sugar Bowl that resulted in actual riots back home in Atlant and Athens when Gov. Marvin Griffin tried to stop Tech from playing against an integrated team in the 1956 Sugar Bowl? The demonstrations-turned-riot were believe it or not in support of Tech playing, and the Tech players, given as chance to vote by Dodd, voted to play. Tech's president at the time said as long as he was president, Georgia Tech was playing in the Sugar Bowl, a cheeky stance at the time. They just announced it at the Sugar Bowl.
