Glad that he agreed to having the story told. I don't think he ever tried to hide his family's past a sign of his strength and faith.

The thing that stood out to me was his unconditional love for his mother. It would be really hard for most people who were put through that from their mother to still love her that much.
He obviously had some great influences step in but Calvin Johnson had a big impact on him too. Getting to learn from a guy like him had to be a big help.
