I’m trying to imagine in what universe a head coach would hype his support for a team in a rival conference. Imagine hearing the coach at Arkansas saying “Go Irish!” before the playoffs.

I thought the same thing and couldn’t come up with any examples of what coach might say something that is openly rooting for his former employer, while also roundabout pulling against his own conference. That dude is a weird bird. I really do think he has some mental issues.

Yep, he seems borderline.
Why did no one ask him if he's aware those other teams winning actually puts money in his proverbial pocket? And that other team winning effectively takes away from his ability to build his own team?

I didn’t hear the whole presser but I doubt anybody would ask that question. That would’ve been too tough of a question for a simpleton to answer. He will get exposed soon enough

Just think of Richt on the ACC network....He doesn't openly root for the dwags even though he coached there.
He's typically pumping up Miami and the ACC. Sure he certainly is pulling for the mutts but he is an analyst for the ACC network so he respects his employer. He's always been very respectful of Key and the team.
Brown is a complete joke. I knew that dude was a bonehead when he fabricated fake disrespect coming from coach Key.
When his portal studs leave for the draft....He'll get completely exposed.
I now want Key to go after the 222-0 record against that joke.

Yeah seems like a yearning to stay in good graces there. I wouldn't want my coach outwardly begging for another school to pat him on his head like that. Grow up.

he’s the kind of coach who says dumb **** and the fanbase rallies around it because they had a decent season against one of the easiest scheds in the country, but as soon as he starts losing (which he will) suddenly the dumb **** he’s saying isn’t loveable anymore.
