A few years ago when he was serving his NFL suspension I got to meet and hang out with Darren through a mutual friend. Not only was he super nice, but I could tell he was passionate about overcoming his set backs. We ended the night going to a club in Atlanta and I remember he was offered tons of drinks and attention once word got out on who he was. But he politely declined all the offers and drank water the entire evening. We talked about how he was working really hard to make his come back, and I'm proud to see how successful he's been since that day.

Gotta love it. We all slip up on life in some form, your true colors come out in how you deal with it. Darren had bounced back in a special way. Congrats to him

Great news about Waller. It's kind of weird how many standout NFL WR's we have coming through the Flats in the past 15 years given we ran a run-first (and second) offense for so many of them.

I love seeing redemption stories like this.
