That is a very good way to look at it, NC. I don't think I had ever looked at the fact that our upper 40's to 50's recruiting ranking was actually much closer to the bottom of the P5 group. I always believed that if CPJ could improve his talent to the 30's or so, "katie, bar the door", especially on the D side. I had come to a point where I did not believe it would happen, and I think PJ also came to this knowledge point. It will be interesting to see if he is interested in coaching at another school where he does not have the STEM school handicap along with the 3O handicap.

There is no 3O handicap with CPJ. LOL

On the subject of football recruiting at Georgia Tech, I believe former coach George O’Leary summarized it best: “We will win with or without you.”

(Note: when O’Leary made this statement, it was about 20-25 years ago. O’Leary served as head coach from 1994 to 2001.)

Memory is getting fuzzy, but as I recall it, O'Leary made that statement specifically regarding the de-commitment of Quincy Carter.
