# 5 UGA could open 0 - 2. They open against #8 Clemson on the road and then take on #7 South Carolina next. And they have a few players sitting out a game or two.

From ESPN Heather
Here are your ACC coaches who help comprise The USA TODAY Sports Board of Coaches, which is made up of 62 head coaches at FBS schools:
  • Frank Beamer, Virginia Tech
  • David Cutcliffe, Duke
  • Larry Fedora, North Carolina
  • Jimbo Fisher, Florida State
  • Al Golden, Miami
  • Jim Grobe, Wake Forest
  • Dabo Swinney, Clemson

So, not even Jimbo, or his voting GA, gave us a top 25 vote. Let's hope we see them in Charlotte, farking bastages.

Stanford? #4? Them boys are somking the good ****
They only lost 2 games and won the Pac 12 and Rose Bowl this is a fair placing
USC's ranking is crazy 7-6 with a loss to GT in the Sun Bowl yet they ranked 24th and the Institute isn't ranked at all..

Do preseason polls even matter? Think about it, there are only 1 or 2 teams that would get in the big dance with a loss on their ledger. A one loss SEC champ and, maybe tOSU. One loss on our schedule = title hopes done. However, if we somehow run the table, there's no way a 1 loss team would jumps us. We would be ACC champs and have beaten Miami, VT, UNC, Clemson, BYU, Uga, and FSU (or Clemson, again). All of those teams have a chance to be ranked either when we play them or better, at the end.

Starting the season unranked helps build team unity and purpose: get RESPECT! In the words of CPJ: "I don't want anybody givin' us anything, I wanna take it!"
