This is great news for me, personally. You Atlanta boys... have a weaker excuse now. That Charlotte distance gets close to "day trip" territory.
Of course.
ACC is the North Carolina Conference
WOW, where have I been? I didn't realize that Syracuse does not field a baseball team. And they haven't since 1972. That's weird.Well. Charlotte is undeniably a great spot overall. Its 2.5 hours from Duke, North Carolina, NC State, and Clemson. Its 3 hours from Virginia Tech, 4 hours from Georgia Tech, and 4.5 hours from Virginia. Makes the location drivable for half the conference. Syracuse doesn't play baseball, Boston College and Pittsburgh barely do, and the Florida teams can go pound sand.

But at least they do have a team. Syracuse doesn't.Well, Pittsburgh basically doesn't field a baseball team either. They've been to the NCAA post-season 1 time in the last 50 years.
Have you checked the temperatures in that part of NY in March?? Even April? Syracuse could have like 10 home games a year and 40 road games....But at least they do have a team. Syracuse doesn't.
Lacrosse is more popular than baseball in Syracuse, outside of probably MLB. Generally speaking, best athletes play lax in spring. But at least they do have a team. Syracuse doesn't.

Actually I think it more likely that we don’t show up.Until they play us in Pittsburgh. Then they show up.
Pass the pipe this way man! Here's a nice article from ESPN that predicts Georgia Tech will make it to the College World Series in Omaha
