Sigh, cue Peac in 5 ... 4 ... 3 ...

It's a little disheartening to see the hire get basically no positive pub. On the other hand, it's what we should expect so ... there's that. It could be 2 seasons before we see the hire pay dividends.

It didn't even receive positive pub from GT fans. Why would you expect if from non GT fans?

I mentioned in another thread I think it speaks volumes that under the cloak of anonimity no coach voted for the guy with a 70% win rate. That to me shows how he rates in that fraternity.

He is doing things to promote the program that I like. I like his staff. But on the court results ultimately win me over. We just fired the nicest guy on the planet, and I hated him as a coach.

Stansbury again, is a great hire for that program. He's doing good things very quickly.

Stansbury is stacking the deck for a quick departure to a P5 job IMHO. Win early with 8th-year guys, jump to a better job. I'm not judging him but I do think that's what he's doing.

CPast, to his credit, appears to be trying to build the program back up for the long haul. Admirable but then again, as these unscientific results seems to suggest, he doesn't appear to have the cache to jump to another better job right now anyways.

Now, I'm sure that if CJP had been hired just a few weeks earlier, he'd be landing commits like Rick. #LateStart
