Can GT Make This Projection Come True?

The only way we get to 10-2 is for almost everything to go right.VERY hard to do.
AU is highlighting that SIngleton moved from GT to AU. Not only does everything has to go right ... no one has to transfer. As soon as ANY player shows promise, they will be heavily recruited.

Still, I am very happy with Bret Key. I think he is exactly what Tech needs right now and I hope he stays 30 years.

See the SI (Jackson Caudell) "way too early" projection below. He has the Yellow Jackets finishing at 10-2, losing only to Clemson and Georgia. Looking through his comments for each matchup, I could see this happening if we can keep everyone healthy, particularly King and Philo. Also, I think it depends on well how the defensive and offensive lines develop during the Spring and Fall practice. We also need a couple of receivers to step up and help Rutherford.

How does the Swarm feel about this projection?

Interesting. Boy, it sure does feel good not to play Miami, UNC, and Notre Dame even if we did win two of those. The author thinks that Clemson will be the key game. I disagree. I think the two back to back games of Duke and Syracuse will be pivotal. Win both of those and Tech just may have a special season. Split them and its the usual meh season of 7 or so wins. Manny has done a great job at Duke and Tech has some unfinished business with the big mouth at Syracuse. A lot of these teams like Wake, Duke, Virginia Tech seem to have lost more to the portal than Tech did. We will see. Eight wins would be a very good season. Anything more would be special. Anything less would be Chanastic.

We've won 6 of the last 7 and 20 of the last 26, they are about as guaranteed a win as we can get outside of the FCS. Stop giving them so much undeserved respect.
Agreed - I am bummed that we don't get to play UNC next year. They're easily one of the most overhyped football programs in the nation every year. We have had their number for quite a few years now...I'd love to see them on our schedule.
