Have been stewing on this all morning. I started at Tech during the end of Chan Gaileys career and enjoyed CPJs tenure (even though he was handicapped by the school). If I remember CPJ had some high seasons, but could never keep it consistent and I remember him having mixed reviews amongst the alumni .
Brent Key took on a program that was run into the ground by his former boss and has put us back on the national stage this season.

We can Monday quarterback each game all we want, and sure there are things he could clean up, but I haven't felt this proud as a GT alum for a season, since like 2014.

We were picked pretty much last in the acc again, had one of the toughest schedules in college football, and were dealt with the horrible injury bug, refs against us in many games...with all of that what I saw last night was a team that I am truly proud of and know that we made the right hire with Key.

Go watch the handshake between him and Kirby + his presser. Key really cares about this university. He showed us what "clean old fashioned hate" really means again

For now all I can say, finish the season strong with a bowl win and enjoy how far we've come

Your right. But, losing 45-0 would have hurt a lot less my heart is broken
All of us feel like our hearts got ripped out.

But the more i sit back and review it the more i realized that big money protected their new investment. Fact is. “If the game got close” the calls dramatically shifted. Both the calls and no calls. We had almost no flags the whole game. Then it became laundry fest. And uga played almost clean football. It was rigged. Many games are. They are not controlled the whole 60 mins. They are situationally controlled. It happened. Period.

Will make it impossible to watch anymore. Its fake.

Just log off man and go for a walk with family or something. It’s still the holiday weekend. We have a great team, head coach, and institutional leadership. The entire college football country respects our program again. We will be back better than ever soon.

I don't think any of us saw HK playing a full game, passing for 303 yards and two touchdowns. I don't think anyone saw us rushing for 260. I don't think anyone saw us shutting them out the first half, especially with the injuries on defense. I don't think anyone saw how dominant our o-line would be. Key has these guys tough, hungry, and schooled. Second-guessing from an armchair after the game is so easy. What he is doing is extraordinary.

Key is the real deal. Still has some things to learn about being a HC and managing games, but I'm so optimistic for the future. Loves GT, loves winning, and hates losing. Knows how to evaluate coaching and player talent. The future is bright on the flats with Key in charge.
This. And, as was pointed out on the telecast several times last night, he REALLY hates UGA.

Key comes from the George O’Leary coaching tree and it shows. Before Chan there was George, and he coached some of our best teams in the modern era. Key is very similar, except he wears his emotions on his sleeve and seems to have a more personal relationship with the players. IMO he’s like the updated, modern version of O’Leary with closer ties to Tech.

I think he’s a great fit for Tech, and I’m happy he’s here.
