The Anti-Cancer Soup wasn't in Quito thank God. The Anti-Cancer Soup is what I ate after some bad tapenade. I then got violent food poisoning for the rest of the night which featured the return of the Anti-Cancer Soup. (My wife is pre-diabetic and trying to eat healthy. I like the vast majority of what she makes but that stuff was awful going down and worse coming back.)

Quito delay was associated with our immaculate timing of going to Galapagos and mainland Ecuador right at the time of general strikes which paralyzed the country and had the capital moved. No danger, just not good.

Oh yeah, stay away from raw/undercooked oysters. I got food poisoning from them about 25 years ago. Oysters are great filters and collect all the bad stuff in the water. Nasty.
