Chipola Baseball in Marianna, FL.

Didn't have a great freshman season, but playing behind Gonzo didn't get him many chances to play. Wonder if it's grades or playing time.

Not sure how he was doing academically, but with Gonzo coming back, that definitely could've played a factor. He is actually a very young (rising) soph. Think he either just turned 19 or is about to turn 19. He definitely has some ability and talent. If he left in good standing (academically and with the coaching staff), I wonder if coming back to GT after a year at Chipola would be a possibility?

This happens a lot every year where players stop playing or go somewhere else for playing time. It doesn't look like he is doing Summer Ball from this article a week ago ...... http://www.ramblinwreck.com/sports/m-basebl/spec-rel/061215aaa.html

He was fairly well ranked coming out of HS at 335 by Perfect Game at 3B. But he wasn't going to play this year ..... or ever @ GT unless the batting average went up. Too bad.

Really hate to see him leave the flats, Blake is a tremendous ball player. I was really surprised to see him not get more playing time this year we certainly could have used the power. He never got consistent at bats throughout the whole year- he gets 3 more hits in his 33 AB's and he was hitting .277 around the same average as most of our infield.
