I made a slight change. I know many retirees (myself included). The ones that seem to struggle the most with it is the ones who were so wrapped up in it that their jobs become their lives. That's what makes them succesful I suppose. I also know some that are hanging on to their jobs into their 70's bc they can't envision life without their work. These are the ones who always switch the conversation to work in the clubhouse after 18 holes. Time is more important to me know than anything else one derives from their career.

They COULD have had any coach but the serious coaches had all learned by then what coaching on the funny farm would look like. This job is not a resume builder and, so far, it looks like a career ender.
UNC will certainly have a major PR boost and attract a lot of attention and interest. Recruiting could surge. But the window of opportunity for this to work out well will only be open a short time. If this doesn’t catch fire by his second season the collapsing morale and the sea of discontent in Chapel Hill will be even worse than before.
