Bench Curry, anyone can't be worse
I rewound several plays during the game to see what happened. Most of our defenders got beat 1:1 at various points in the game, Curry included. He also made some of the better defensive plays. I doubt he will be the lowest graded defender we had out there today.

Tobias Oliver made some athletic plays and was a pleasant surprise. Tackling in the secondary was often bad, but the plays I saw him in on, he was faster than his opponent and made the tackle.

That game was loaded with opportunities for big plays defensively. We didn’t make them.

Losing in Year 2 of the rebuild isn’t what bothers me. It’s the lack of effort, the horrendous turnovers, and the moronic penalties. If we execute cleanly and just lose to a better team, it happens. This game and the Cuse game are simply inexcusable.

Yeah. According to the rankings, we’ve been out-recruiting both of those programs for years. I understand the offense is going to take its lumps adjusting from the TO. I understand the defense has been below average for a decade and won’t change over the course of one season, but I really have a hard time accepting 24-0 and 17-0 starts against two programs who have at BEST, similar level talent to us. Those kinds of starts against similar level competition are usually either caused by sloppy play or a fluke. It’s happened enough it’s not a fluke. Playing sloppy and flat to start every game clearly starts with the coaches. Not to mention even the two wins we started flat and had to claw our way back(10-0 FSU, 21-7 Lville). What the hell are we doing?

I agree with all of this. Getting blown out by Clemson and UGA isn’t what makes me concerned about Collins. It’s the looking like a deer in the headlights against teams we should be competitive with.

Rutgers beat Michigan State and Indians beat top 5 Penn State. There’s a lot of butt hurt in college football this year.

We had 3 turnovers, they had 0. Thats basically the game. Doesn’t excuse all the little details here and there about how we played along the way, but it’s a tie game without that. This was essentially Syracuse 2.0.
No it was definitely not Syracuse 2.0. Syracuse we moved the ball at will and pretty much had one player hand them the football game. This game we got our asses handed to us and looked like we don't even belong in a power 5 conference.
