To which I have only to say: OMG, OMG, OMG. This situation hasn't cropped up at Tech, probably because the coaches and the athletic program here are not–thank you, Jesus–like the ones at Baylor. If the allegations about their football program prove out, then just firing the president, AD, and Briles isn't enough; imho, it's death penalty time. And, just as a sidelight, the longer this kind of thing goes on, the more likely it is that Congress will step in and try to fix it. That'd be … interesting.

The type of football player who would rape and commit other violent crimes most likely couldn't get into GT like they could UGAG,Clemson,Alabama,Auburn,Tennessee and Florida.

The whole Briles debacle is likely common among bigtime factory programs, unfortunately. Athletes getting into trouble and coaches trying to use their local influence to keep it on the hush is nothing new. Baylor just got caught, plain and simple. And me thinks it's because the big orange school, not liking their new status within their own state, pressured enough people to put the hammer down on them, but rightfully so. The people "shocked" by this are simply naive, imo.
