Got the start against Duke. Seemed to have had a good game but no sacks. Kid went from 210 to 230 plus.

Will he start against UNC?

I hope our speed at DE can contain and pressure UNC. Antonio, Rook and Freeman all fit that model...As does Whitehead.

Simmons flashes when you watch the defense play. He isn't always the one making the play, but it seems he's in on all the plays behind the LOS. It's like he's a step or two away from a lot of sacks...he'll get there. I think he has the highest ceiling of all our young DEs.

Also, he looks bigger on TV than is listed 230lbs

Simmons and Gray might have the highest ceilings on D. Both will have to work hard to get there. All indications are that is exactly the kind of guys they are. Bodes well for the future.
