I just don’t understand all the angst. We’ve been inconsistent for years and have had a lot of questions on the coaching side. Say what you want about the current whining about Collins game day coaching and decision making, but it’s not like Johnson and Gailey were game day geniuses. Under Johnson once we got behind by a couple scores we had no chance in coming back since we had no hurry up or shotgun. The worse loss GT has had in the last 30 years was the 9-6 game. I mean seriously that coaching makes Collins look like a genius. The bottom line is Collins is installing a system that current high school players want to play in and it’s a system that can put up points and come from behind. We are really in year 1 since we had no QB last year. Our offense is going to put up a lot of points soon which will continue to draw recruits. The days of begging defensive backs to play QB at GT are over. And if the light never comes on with Sims we’ll have Peery and others ready to take over. We simply don’t have a real alternative on the roster right now. And the right call is to stick with Sims.
