Seems a pretty poor list. No Haynes King even as honorable mention, Zeek being left off in favor of Van Den Berg is very surprising.
The QB list mirrors ESPN's top QBs in the ACC for QBR, except for one. Haynes King was #2 behind Cam Ward. And King was just awarded the ACC's QB of the week. I realize these lists heavily weight team W/L record, but give me a break.

I mean I get it. King was out a ton this year...if he plays the whole season I can't imagine he's not 2nd string behind Cam. IIWII.

Ridiculous. Haynes King should be at least second team if you watched this team at all this year.

King missing a couple of games and being very limited in another 2 games clearly was a major factor. We all know how good King is but leaving a guy who did not play in 2 games and did not throw a downfield pass in two other games is reasonable to be out of the top 5 QBs this season. I would take him over any of the other guys.

Our top 2 were both Portal Transfers. That is a good sign! Moving in the right direction. A few years ago we had maybe 1 guy on the list. There are 17 teams in the conference now as well.

It’s hard to know whether or not Burrell or Harvey got shafted because I won’t claim to know the quality of other ACC cornerbacks. But I do feel like they were two of the best players on Tech’s defense all season. And they rarely came out of the game. I only remember the secondary playing poorly against Louisville. Even against Cuse, they were playing solid on the back end. Those two will be sorely missed next season.

There's not another QB I'd rather have leading my team and that incudes Cam Ward, Kyle McCord, and Carson Beck.
I find it extremely interesting that our top two guys were transfer portal guys. I think this speaks to the reality of the current era.

From what I have seen re: qb's... The best two in the nation (HmfK and the kid over at USCe) won't be in the playoffs this year. But will be next year. There is absolutely no single QB in our conference better than Haynes.

South Carolina QB wins Heisman in 25 or 26.....He played the first couple of games in eye-glasses so I nicknamed him "Urkel" (mostly just to irritate my wife who is Gamecock girl).......took the glasses off in game 3......turns out he is Superman, not Clark Kent

In my world he comes in second next year to HK next year in trhe Heisman voting. Then second again in '26 behind Philo. Desparate to win this thing, he returns again in '26 but only to finish second again behind Knowles or the kid coming in from OK, I have to confesss that this is probaly unrealistic given my gold-colored glasses. It's much more likely that one of our highly rated OL becomes the first ever Ol to win this award in 2026. We'll check back to see if this post ages well.

So Tech’s one returning starting OL is the only one who didn’t make an All-ACC team?
We have
  • LT Corey Robinson, r-Jr, HM (transfer portal)
  • LG Joe Fusile, r-Jr,
  • C Weston Franklin, Sr, HM
  • RG Keylan Rutledge, Jr, 1st Team
  • RT Jordan Williams, Sr, 3rd Team
Shouldn’t Rutledge and Fusile be coming back? Did I miss a senior night announcement?
