How much are we spending on the new AA building. Would some of that been better spent on salaries?
~$120M for the new Edge building, and it’s all completely necessary and worth it. The current building looks and feels like it was ripped straight out of the 70s. There’s been a few updates to the more public and accessible parts of it already, but where the athletes actually are (the training room, the study lounges, advisor’s offices) are embarrassingly outdated. I haven’t been in since the pandemic started, but I know at least in February of 2020 (2 years after the adidas contract started) there were still photos and graphics on the walls with Russell branding and motifs. The weight room is also in dire need of an upgrade. I would imagine the entire Wardlaw building will be renovated as soon and the Edge renovations are complete.
