Yup, we're in. Play UNC or UVa depending on the VT-Pitt game. And with VT up 13-7 T8 0 outs, we are getting UVa.

So UVa on Tuesday. Hope it's the 3PM game and not the 11AM game.

A whole new season starts on Tuesday.

BTW, after getting swept by Miami we are up to 27 RPI. (Miami is #2 which is what helped so much.) So we are pretty much a lock for 3rd seed NCAA. A win over UVa would cement it, but is probably not needed. I'd like a win over UVa and then Miami............

Is that how the bracket plays out? We play Miami if we beat UVA? Dear god! If so, we should trot Pitts out against Miami just to see if he makes a difference.

Damn, game on Tuesday is at 11 AM so I'll miss it....... but yes.

We (#10 seed) play UVa (#7 seed). Louisville (25-5) will be #1 seed and Miami (22-8) #2 seed. We are in Pool B with the #2 seed. So I think the 10/7 play in winner plays the top seed in their bracket as the first game.

Not up yet but it will be eventually here http://www.theacc.com/page/acc-baseball-schedule-and-bracket-2015 (The NCAA site is very slow to update; but they can be slow and cumbersome since they are a protected bureaucracy.)

I think with our loss today and dropping to 31 in the RPI, we will not get a bid. We certainly don't deserve it for the last few weeks. Plus as I said a while ago post #27, Boyds World has good stats on the RPI and making the tournament. I think if we had put up a good fight in our last 5 games and lost, we'd have a chance. But not now. Also, both the ACC and SEC far under perform when they get to the tourney in that the weaker teams are more quickly eliminated than from other conferences. This coupled with the fact that we really sucked at the end of the year and there are going to be a lot ACC bids makes me think we are out.

Here's two data points from post #27:
"2014 ..... you could miss with a 40 RPI and make it with a 54 RPI. "The highest pseudo-RPI ranking without a bid was West Virginia (40), but they had a record barely over 0.500 and were 6th of 9 in conference with a conference record below 0.400. The lowest pseudo-RPI with an at-large bid was Cal State Fullerton (54) along with Clemson (50)."http://www.nettally.com/jcarr/Baseball/region/2014.html

2013 ...... you could miss with a 30 RPI and make it with a 57 RPI. "The highest pseudo-RPI ranking without a bid was Nebraska (30). The lowest pseudo-RPI with an at-large bid was UC Santa Barbara (57), followed by Oklahoma State (52), New Mexico (51), and San Francisco (50). http://www.nettally.com/jcarr/Baseball/region/2013.html "

Here's today's Stock Report, breaking down races for at-large spots, hosts, national seeds: http://www.d1baseball.com/the-buzz/ncaa-tournament-stock-report-week-15/ …

Miami switches with FSU as national seed. Louisville is the other seed.

Miami is a lock for national seed, IF they do ok in the ACC tourney. Before this weekend, they were 4 in RPI and 8 in coaches poll. Now they are #2 in RPI.
Miami, FSU and Louisville will host, with two of them holding a national seed (Miami and Louisville). FSU got swept by Clemson.
