Our golf team is playing Wake for the ACC golf championship. Another top performance by coach Heppler's team. Hope they continue their strong play and win it again this year. We actually have one sport that is a consistent winner.

Its tied 2-2 right now with the last match showing as Wake being 1 up with two holes to play. They have been on the 17th hole for 10 min or so now.

I need someone to decypher what all that means. 5&4? 1 up? 2 up?

5&4 means one player was up 5 holes with 4 to play, so match is over with no need to play more.
1 up means one player won with 1 hole up after 18 holes.
2 up means one player won with 2 holes up after 18 holes (this player was 1 up going to 18th hole, and then won the 18th).

No doubt - He's up against the world ranked #6 Amateur - But has taken him into the 3rd hole of sudden death - very impressive

How did a freshman get matched with the #6 Amateur?

To me, all the pressure on the #6 amateur. The freshman has nothing to lose.

Wasn't able to pull it off. Heck of an effort from the Freshman though. Team should be competitive during the NCAA tournament.
