A trend I have noticed.

Good commentator. Complete d-bag though. At least the one time I met/tried to converse with him

I love Wes, but last night was the worst he’s ever been. Misidentified players constantly, stumbled over his words when talking about Billy Shaw, confusion on penalties. It was a tough listen from the get-go. The first quarter was particularly bad, but he didn’t get much better throughout. Honestly wonder if doing the Falcons 48 hours before had something to do with it.

I did notice that watching the replay today. But I'll give him grace as that Falcons game was BANANAS.

Dating back to the 2023 Miami game, we are 6-0 in games when Wes Durham is on the call.

2023 Miami: W 23-20
2023 UNC: W 46-42
2023 Syracuse: W 31-23
2023 UCF: W 30-17
2024 GSU: W 35-12
2024 Duke: W 24-14

I thought you were going to say the trend was that people start threads to complain about every facet of the game, even after defeating a previously undefeated team.

Glad it was about Wes.

He was always good at the lunch bunch. Met him at a practice when CCG was there and he was fine then, too.
I met him at a NSMA (national sports media association) event back when I was an intern there. He’s the chairman of the board for them. I barely kept it together as he’s the voice of my childhood and the son of the voice of my mother’s childhood (my mom is a Tar Heel and grew up on Woody Durham)

Wes sounds very much like his dad. Wes did not attend UNC which I would have figured. He went to Elon. I put him up there with Ciraldo. I always despised Munson at UGA. He did Nashville Vols baseball when I was in high school in Nashville. I watched my high school win the 1964 Tennessee state basketball championship game on YouTube. Munson was the announcer. Could not believe it. He did Vandy for a while before UGA. Just hated listening to him do the dawg games.

Munson and Al were all we got growing up. Loved Al and despised Munson. In South Georgia all you heard was impersonations of Munson or ear blasting on radio. Best day was a rainy day dove shoot. I think it was Pepper beating the dogs in the slop. Everyone was a dog fan and had their radios on. Glorious day.

We are also undefeated with ACC Huddle on site. In fact, before the game when Eric McClain was talking to Key he casually said "can't wait to talk to you after the game" when they parted ways cause he is so used to Key being up there post game. 😂
good news is next week we're on the CW and IIRC our last game on that network was when we spanked Virginia last year.

Wonder if Luginbill made him nervous.

I noticed some of that in the GSU game earlier this year. I wondered at the time whether he was working without a spotter.
