During the week before the game I said there’s no excuse to not go to the Miami game and boy did our fans come and give us a home field advantage. And YES, I know Miami brought themselves a crowd over in the east stands, but Miami always travels well and with how good they were coming in we knew they’d bring some people. It wasn’t nearly as bad as when Clemson and uga come to BDS. And even with all the Miami folks there it was STILL a GT crowd. Seeing the entire south, west, and most of the north stands full took me right back to my childhood and the early years of CPJ. It was loud, rambunctious, and the boombox that BDS is supposed to be.

Well done everybody! Let’s keep the energy in a little over a week when the Wolfpack come for senior day!

Next Thursday should be a blast. Students will likely pack it out now.
I think Thursdays are a tough sell for a lot of people, between traffic and the late finish times. Our last Thursday evening game was against UVA in 2022 when Brent Key was 2-0 and we were in ACC title contention. I think it had lower attendance than even any non-COVID CGC-era game.

Edit to add: This is not to say you shouldn't show up - just tempering attendance expectations. I will be there and inside the stadium early to cheer on the seniors who have delivered us some great memories over the past few years. Closing up your tailgate early or making an extra effort to park a little earlier is the least you can do for guys like LaMiles Brooks, Zeek, etc as they exit the tunnel and join Coach Key and their families to be honored on Senior Day.

Agreed! I was a little surprised how loud it was for a noon kickoff. Great crowd, great energy, and an awesome gameday experience. Let's do it all over again on Thursday night against NCSt!

I'm sure most of them were there for my triumphant return. I hadn't been able to come in years, so thanks for the warm welcome back, folks.

Homecoming helped. I know that was my excuse for flying in with my son from Boston.

I know the students like the piped in DJ music, but candidly I would prefer to hear the band more during the timeouts. I also could do without so much of the video of the fans dancing, ect. I miss the band.
I, in general, I agree with the more band.
But the AD has to build market to students and sidewalk fans.

The place was rocking and i liked it all.

Oh, we won. Yea winning cures a lot.

The band playing ramblin wrek when the studdnts took down the g I al posts was the high point. Made some life memories

I will say this, I wish Tech would reduce the ticket prices of the Upper East stands for our last home game of the year. We'll be on national television and I doubt many NCST fans will travel here for a Thursday night game.

I was so glad to bee there for this game and Homecoming. Bought the midfield lower West 4 months ago from GT got the last two together, was pretty surprised to see UM all around me. They were very well behaved fans and all was good especially the end. SWMBO’s favorite moment was seeing 20 students carrying the goal post by us on North Ave on our way to hotel.

Reminded be of the UMD game in 2006. That was a day game, but may have been a 3:30 start.
Had to be because I remember the sun dipping below the west stands as md was making their final drive. How many times do you see a team march down the field for a winning TD, get to 5 yds line only to be thwarted.

Sacked two plays in a row to end the game.

I agree, or let students from the north stands move over there. It is a bad look on TV for them to be mostly empty. I sit in the West stands now but used to be in the upper east and they are incredibly good seats. I cannot figure out why the fans we lost over the bad three years we had are not coming back with what CBK has done with the program. We have a very exciting team to support.

Yeah, but still not really a contender. While going from “one of the worst teams in college football” to “upper half ACC team” is certainly a massive jump, it’s not really enough to bring in droves of sidewalk fans. Especially when one of our worst stretches of all time coincided with Georgia’s best ever. Tech was incredibly irrelevant and laughably bad while they have played in 6 of the last 7 SECCG and 3 national championship games. Pretty sure they won more games in Atlanta than we did for a few years. We have to beat the dwags again to gain respect, and with them having a “down year” for the first time in a decade, it’s the perfect opportunity to snatch some momentum back. Just keeping winning and people will come. Look at Indiana
