One overlooked aspect of the transfer portal is that a significant number of Tech's transfers are leaving with a Georgia Tech degree - a major accomplishment which should be celebrated.

This weekend Christian Leary, Leo Blackburn, Zach Pyron, Corey Robinson II and Jordan Brown all graduated!

Student-athletes have many different reasons for transferring, from financial to academic to playing time; however, the above players will be taking with them one of the world's most valuable assets...a degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology!

Christian Leary, Zach Pyron, Corey Robinson II, Leo Blackburn, Jordan Brown, Eric Singletary, Evan Dickens, Horace Lockett, Taye Seymore, Uche Iloh, Christian Burkhalter.

The main point is that amongst all the chaos and professionalism of college sports, it's refreshing and meaningful that so many of our student-athletes take school seriously and have achieved their goal of earning a Georgia Tech degree, even if they are graduating and transferring with football eligibility remaining.

Dickens was on the game participation list for FSU and GSU. Burkhalter hasn't been on the roster all season.

There's only so many times you can go to the V before you need to move on.

Later, you take your kids and grandkids once a year at homecoming.
