Who cares. I for one never listen to the game on the radio. Pretty much make it a point to be there or be in front of a TV (or phone/computer/tablet). I could probably suffer through one radio game every 3-4 years if I was traveling. And by traveling I guess I mean physically driving a long distance, bc you can stream every game these days.

Atlanta sports radio is horrid. I've given up listening to both stations entirely.

What option out there is better than our deal with 680? I hate 680 and most of the pukes on that channel bloviating pure donkey dung....but I'm unaware of a better deal to be had locally.

You want innovation? Stop using technology from the 1920's

So why bother working on a radio deal?

How is it that every other major football playing school in America is so much smarter than we are?

Not able, afaik, to drive car into GF and use the Bluetooth.

An not carrying a computer into the stadium for a game day app.

TONS if people want to listen to ganes on the radio, even while at the game.

Just more of the same excuses from the last 50 years.

You don't have to have your car; you simply use the game day app on your phone while in the stadium. That's what you would used for the bluetooth option in your car anyway.

You realize the computers that apps come on are really small?

I love the game day app. The announcers are so much better than those on TV. It has also allowed me to combine two of my favorite things, hunting and GT football.

Do you have any problem with the volume on it? Unless I am bluetoothing it in my car, I really have a hard time hearing them most of the time.

680 has agreed to "
expand Georgia Tech content and reporting on 680/93.7 The Fan, its electronic platforms (680TheFan.comand official social media outlets) and its sister stations, including newly acquired 106.3 FM."

Also, "In addition to the listening in the Atlanta metro area on 680/93.7 The Fan, IMG has ensured that fans in Atlanta and across the world have multiple ways to hear Georgia Tech IMG Sports Network broadcasts, including its statewide radio network, the GT Gameday app, Tune-In Radio and at ramblinwreck.com."

Meaning one should be able to listen to a football or basketball game...

"Georgia Tech IMG Sports Network radio broadcasts of Yellow Jackets football* and men’s basketball games will be carried live in Atlanta on 680 AM and 93.7 FM, the latter of which has recently increased its signal strength to improve overall distribution of Georgia Tech broadcasts to fans and alumni throughout the Atlanta metro area..."
* early-season football broadcasts that conflict with 680/93.7 The Fan’s Atlanta Braves coverage will be carried throughout the Atlanta area on one or more of The Fan’s AM/FM sister stations (1230 AM, 1340 AM, 98.9 FM and/or 106.3 FM)

The link, in case anyone needs it is http://tunein.com/radio/Georgia-Tech-IMG-Sports-Network-s230311/
IMG also carries the call in shows for both CPJ and CJP.

Thank you for that detailed info. I hope it works. We shall see.
