Also WF not being ranked is just plain bizarre. They’re a regional host team off of just about any metric you want to use yet no poll even has them ranked.

Wake is 9-0 since we swept them in Atlanta. Hopefully, the committee will factor in come 'recentcy' (somehow) for teams like WF ... and give them a bump in their placement. Likewise, teams that are falling off should be penalized a little too.

Should be specifically mentioned that he only gave up 1 hit over 7 innings. And the reliever didn't give up any. That's impressive, and was certainly implied by your 3 baserunner comment. It's hard to play "small ball" without baserunners!

I just want us to play good clean crisp baseball. If we get beaten I can live with that if we play well. Ok, maybe I can’t but I sure would still feel better about it. A certain pride comes with playing well…
We CERTAINLY did that last night.

If we play well we won’t lose. We are the best team in the country. So is playing well=winning.

Since we won the first 7, its a no brainer. Nyet! Looking for a win tonight and dont really care what happens tomorrow, but a rainout and not rescheduled is our best option.

Our best option? We are the best team in the ACC. I say our best option is just to play the games.

A late comment on last night’s G1 vs BC. Congrats and applause to Tate and Dimitri on a masterful pitching performance. And to Vaun Lackey for a great catching and strike framing performance as always. And on to G2. Let’s end the ACC race right now. We control our destiny. Win and we are the regular season champs and top seed in Charlotte.
